California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) Policy

California Consumer Privacy Act (hereafter, CCPA) is a California privacy law that will be effective January 1 /2020.

The privacy statements and sections present in this notice (the CCPA) are additional to Elegant Living Everyays Privacy Page.

This notice applies solely to website users, visitors and customers who live in the state of California  (which hereafter, will be referred to as “consumer”, “consumers”, and “you”.

Under CCPA, you, the consumers, have several added rights and privileges that serves to protect your personal information being used in a way that you do not agree with. This notice is in place to comply with the California Consumer Act that is in effect starting 01/01/2020

You, the consumer has the right to request and understand what categories of information, what kind of personal information is collected, how Elegant Living Everyday collects it and what it the purpose.

Consumer’s Right to Demand Disclosure

You have the right to demand that we disclose what categories of information we have or are collecting. As well as what information is already collected or presently collecting on you, the consumer.

To be fully in compliance, Elegant Living Everyday is disclosing the categories of information that is generally collected about the consumers.

As a consumer, you are free to request disclosure of your information at no extra charge to you if you make a request no more than twice (2) during a 12 month period.

General Information that is Collected

The information that is generally collected as personal information, listed under the CCPA, is in the form of a name, email address, IP address.

This is collected through sign up forms (emails are collected this way), comments (on posts) google analytics, and pixels for Facebook and Pinterest.

You, the consumer the right to request the information that has been collected by contacting Elegant Living Everyday at jenniferlynn(at)elegantlivingeveryday(dot)com.

Consumer’s Right to Request Deletion of Personal Information

Under the CCPA, you, the consume has the right to contact Elegant Living Everyday that has collected the personal information and ask it to be deleted.

There are certain limited circumstances that a business does not have to comply and delete the information.

– to provide and complete the transaction for which pupose the information was collected in the first place.

– in compliance with a legal obligation

– to carry out and be compliant with another legal requirement

– to keep it for internal use that is reasonable to the consumer.

Consumer’s Right to Deman Disclosure In Case of Sale

As a consumer, you have the right to request full disclosure if Elegant Living Everyday sells or transfers your personal information for a business pupose. You have the right to know what information has been sold or transferred and to whom. Also for the was the business purpose.

Elegant Living Everyday does NOT sell personal information that is collected from consumers.

However, if in the event that it is going to be within the 12 months, you wil be given the oppurtunity to opt out and your personal information will NOT be sold.

The consumer has the right to request that we disclose what category of information was sold,  specifically what it was, who it was sold to and what the business purpose was.

 Consumer’s Right to Requestion NOT to Sell Information

Under CCPA, you have the right to request that the business that collected your information DOES NOT SELL THAT INFORMATION TO ANYONE.

In the efforts to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act, you can find “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” link in the footer of the website. This option will also be available on the opt-in forms that you sign up to Elegant Living Everyday.

If and when you select “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” you will opted out. Therefore, you will know that your information and general data will never be sold.

Business will not Discriminate Against Consumer

If you choose to exercise your right and request that we never sell your information, in accordance with the CCPA, Elegant Living Everyday will not and cannot discriminate against you for that choice.

You will have access to the same services, at the same prices as everyone else. The quality and conditions of products and services you receive the same as everyone else.

Securing your Personal Information

Under CCPA, a business that collects or receives personal information about the consumer must implement and maintain reasonable security practices.

If a business experiences a data breach, then it will be held liable if it did not implement and maintain reasonable security practices.

Elegant Living Everyday does do due diligence, and maintains a reasonable security procedure and practice to make sure that your data and private information is safe.

Here are some of the security practices that Elegant Living Everyday has in place to protect consumer data:

– all the systems containing consumer information (example: Email service provider) are password protected.

– only one person knows the password

– change the password often.

– the computers used are all password protected as well that only one person knows

– besides stated above, Elegant Living Everyday does everything to ensure the safety of your personal information
