Happy New Year

New Year, New You?

Happy New Year.

New year with a chance to improve you, for you.

You can’t go back and make a new start, but you can start right now and make a brand new ending.

James R. Sherman

I am not going to lie, but with the end of this year I am a little sad to say goodbye to 2019.

Partly because it went by so incredibly fast, but also because it was a year of realizing I’m not perfect!

You might be thinking, “why is that a good thing?” and I would answer, that it finally gave me the chance to breathe.

The ability to look at myself in the miror and smile without the thoughts of what I didn’t finish that day or what others were expecting of me.

I know I am not alone in this battle that we create for ourselves. Which is in a sense, comforting, but also a little sad too.

This year I want to make it a fact to stop putting so much needless burdens on myself and I would love if you would too!

Happy New Year

Do you make a resolution?

I used to be against making New Year’s Resolutions, not because I am against improving myself, but because I always seem to put pressure on and I will fail.

But let’s get real with each other and ask ourselves, “Why are we so damn scared of failing?”

I really had to ask myself this, and what I came up with was I didn’t want to feel like a failure.

I didn’t want to feel like I couldn’t do it.

That what I was thinking of, that it wasn’t me.

And I could really go on.

I bet you’re the same, where you have thoughts and dreams of yours, but to try them is too terrifying. Or maybe you’re thinking that “that” isn’t you.

Well, I’m here to tell you that you’re wrong.

You are able to do anything you want and if you fail(which you probably will your first few times) that it means absolutely nothing.

Happy New Year

Failing is Nothing

It shcoked me the first time I heard how so many of my heros failed the first few times they attempted at their dreams.

It’s normal.

We aren’t born with knowing how to do our art perfectly. But that’s why we fail. Purely to keep getting better.

This not only makes us wiser, but it also gives us an appreciation for what we do and why we do it.

It humbles us.

So I want you to make your resolutions for this year with that in mind, that even if you fail (which you most likely will) that it means to keep trying.

Not to give up and think that it’s “not for you”!

Happy New Year

We’re passionate people

I don’t want this post to be a long one, mainly because I know we are all so busy at this time of the year. And I also want to spend more time with the family (resolution #3).

If you never noticed that we are a passionate species. We love hard, and we are able to put our all into everything that we want to. This is an amazing thing that we possess because it makes life so much richer.

Allow yourself to become passionate about what you are doing on a daily basis (resolution #5) and don’t let a bad day get in the middle of you and that passion.

Write out what you are interested in, deeply interested in and start there. If you want to learn something, then let this be the perfect excuse to start it!

Don’t let your depressive and negative thoughts drown your love and passion for something.

Don’t be scared of failure (resolution #1) and allow your passion to ooze from every pore.
